Ramanathan hails from a traditional traders’ family in Madurai. He leads one of the largest pharmaceuticals distribution firms in the city. Knowledge and human resource development have always been his core areas of interest. He is a member of the Reader’s Club in the city. He gives special attention in building capacities of staff of his business firm. He has designed and conducted several training programmes on personality development, leadership, interpersonal communication etc. for his staff members.
Ramanathan finds the existing educational system is totally inadequate and has severely failed to produce citizens who can think and act independently. He strongly believes that the education should be complete rather than focusing only on imparting memorizing skills.
He sees his involvement in promotion of the Indian 3C School as a gesture of ‘Giving Back to the Society’. He envisions promoting a collective of educational institutions to serve to the children and youth.
The Indian 3C School adopts ‘3C Mode’ of education, a unique way of transferring knowledge, skills and attitude to the pupils. The school aims at overall development of the child rather than focusing only on memorization skills. The over emphasis on the rote method of teaching will negatively affect the skillset and personality of the child.
